Welcome
Welcome to my new course. I can't wait for you to join me on my journey.
This course has been created as a foundation course, which will lead onto my Membership tuition. It will give you all the basics you need to know to get started. You will only need to use DK wool* at this stage. It will give you a real taste of the world of tapestry before advancing on to using tapestry yarns and losing yourself to the art of colour blending.
We cover shapes, curves, keeping a neat edge, tension, meet and separate, hatching and so much more. I will give you lots of tips I’ve learned.
The course will start with lots of basic tuition and we will finish with working on a design together. I want you to finish this course feeling you have really achieved something and be proud of yourself. Tapestry takes patience and time to master. Be kind to yourself and enjoy the journey. It has brought me so much happiness and I hope it does with you too.

*DK wool is double knitters wool in the UK. In the US it might be referred to as Light Worsted yarn and in Australia, for example, it is called 8 ply yarn. Please refer to my section 'A bit about 'sett'' in this course for more information.
